Free Lecture : Dr. Yong Zhao-Creative, Entrepreneurial, and Global: 21st Century Education 10/16/12

Dr. Yong Zhao, an internationally known scholar, author, and speaker, is currently Presidential Chair and Associate Dean for Global Education, College of Education at the University of Oregon, where he is a full professor in the Department of Educational Measurement, Policy and Leadership (EMPL).   Dr. Zhao is an advocate of the creative use of modern technology to support student learning. He also encourages teachers to study emerging technologies to better reach students of different cultures in other countries.  Dr. Zhao has published more than 100 articles and 20 books, including Catching Up or Leading the Way: American Education in the Age of Globalization (2009) and World Class Learners: Educating Creative and Entrepreneurial Students (2012), both of which will be available for purchase and signing at this event.
