Children and Prescription Medication 4/30/13

Research indicates that more than 25 percent of children and teens take prescription medication on a regular basis, including treatments for asthma, ADHD, diabetes and psychiatric disorders. The presenters will review the common medications used in children, describe the medication errors that can occur and identify strategies to prevent these errors. They will also discuss the abuse of prescription and over-the-counter medications by adolescents and offer ways to protect young people from misusing medications.
